Welcome! The primary focus here is Madera County, with an emphasis on Eastern Madera County and the Foothills... while still including information from nearby counties and communities as they have all evolved and influenced each other. I am slowly collecting, transcribing and posting biographies and other information about area pioneers, so please check the biographies section.
The catalyst for this site is that I have been very frustrated to finally find what might be some tidbit of information, then learn the only way to gain access it is to pay. I will also include information on my own family in the hope of learning (and sharing) more.

Obviously, this site is very new and there is much work to be done. My initial work was to list those buried at Oakhill Cemetery in Oakhurst, and include photos. I have many more photos than loaded, so if you need a pic of one of the stones, email me and I'll check if I have it. Also, if you have relevant information or links to share, feel free to email.
